LOVE THY NEIGHBOR
For The Welcome Ride, Love Thy Neighbor is more than a familiar expression. It is a directive from God, a teaching from Jesus, and our purpose.
Paraphrase — Leviticus 19:18; Matthew 22:37–39, NIV.The idea is simple: we are made to care for one another.
The Welcome Ride aims to bring a sense of community to each person who gets in the car. Every ride is an opportunity to meet, share, and care.
CAREride is humanity in action.
A CAREride begins in an ordinary moment. A conversation is shared. A need becomes visible. Someone chooses to respond with kindness.
The ride itself is only one expression of something larger. The same spirit can be found in giving someone your time, offering a helping hand, sharing a meal, listening without rushing, or simply being present when someone should not have to feel alone.
There is nothing to join and no recognition to receive. It is simply one person seeing another—and choosing to respond.
That is the heart of Love Thy Neighbor & CAREride.
CARRY IT WITH YOU
If something you have read stays with you, carry it into the places you already go and the people you already meet.
Notice the person who may need a hand. Take time to listen. Offer what you can. A small act of kindness may mean more than you know.
Perhaps you have an idea, time to share, or a desire to do something meaningful for another person. You do not need to join anything or have a connection to The Welcome Ride.
